Our company has gathered extensive experience on versatile berry processing. Kiantama Oy was founded in 1973 to do gathering, processing and supplying of wild berries to food industry. The region of Kainuu and its surroundings were particularly suitable for the location, since almost 50% of the berries picked in Finland for commercial purposes are picked in Kainuu. Kainuu has a long tradition of picking wild berries for household use as well as for commercial purposes.

The production of the company focuses on the wild berries and products processed of them which are highly valued materials for national and international food and natural product industries.

Today, the basis of our operation is paying attention to the cleanliness of the materials as well as finished products and to the survival of their nutritional values, natural aromas and colours. The high quality of our products are guaranteed by modern production and packing technology as well as careful quality control.
